Iron Mountain Global Records and Information Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Overview

This individual works to ensure information and records are maintained consistently across the enterprise’s business units in compliance with legal and operational requirements. This individual is a manager reporting to a Legal’s Chief of Staff. S/he is responsible for all recorded information and assists in strategic planning that reflects the vision, direction, standards, and mission of the organization. This includes Program definition, training, and coordination with managers of other corporate support groups.

Responsibilities

Drive New Initiatives. Implement and maintain strategic initiatives to enhance the Records and Information Management Program. Develop and execute a plan to expand the Program globally with regional acceptance. Apply Policy Center Solution (PCS) and Global Research Service (GRS) for all regions; reestablish disposition efforts for paper; and manage other program enhancement projects. In addition, support efforts involving new customer service offerings.

Manage the Company’s Records and Information Management Program . Develop and issue records and information management (RIM) policies for review and approval. Establish and implement standards for global records and recordkeeping practices in accordance with policy. Issue and implement records management procedures and guidelines. Educate and train employees on records management policies and procedures: new hires, on-going training/certification. Develop metrics to monitor compliance of business units to RIM Program policy.

Program Planning and Coordination. Partner with Information Technology (IT) to drive electronic records best practice and compliance, including understanding RIM controls available in newly acquisitioned software. Coordinate with Information Security and Legal Privacy & Compliance to ensure the Program is in alignment with their policies and procedures including GDPR and the California Privacy ACT. Work with internal Marketing/Communications to communicate about the Records Management Program. Stay current with emerging RIM trends/topics and propose any necessary updates to the Program as required.

Qualifications

  • 2-7 years Experience

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Good listening skills and a positive can-do attitude

  • Professional certification (CRM, CDIA) and/or 3 to 4 years of experience with records management concepts and operations and recordkeeping requirements for compliance,

  • litigation support and risk assessment in a corporate setting is preferred

  • Leadership skills and the ability to influence and achieve results through others

  • Critical thinking skills to evolve program from paper to digital
