$4,000 sign on bonus eligible. This is an overnight project worker position (9PM – 5:30AM) that will need to be able to work independently with a certain level of responsibility. He/She will need to be able to also perform housekeeping responsibilities in order to maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the hospital. Experience with floor care machinery and processes is required. This role will work closely with overnight Lead in order to accomplish projects such as floor scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet bonneting and extraction. Other project duties may include wall washing, dust removal from high and hard to reach areas, and other detail cleaning. Responsibilities for this position will also include the cleaning of operating rooms and other critical areas, when necessary, in addition to typical housekeeping duties.
Principal Duties and Essential Functions:
Cleans patient rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures. This includes proper disinfection of all surfaces, restrooms, and floors. Cleans patient discharges. Cleans precaution rooms according to Infection Control policies using proper disinfectants.
Cleans all restrooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures. Checks and restocks paper supplies.
Cleans offices and conference rooms daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
Cleans entrances, lobbies and waiting areas daily according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures. Vacuums carpets according to department procedures.
Cleans utility rooms and nourishment stations according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
Cleans corridors and ancillary areas according to hospital and department standards using seven step procedures.
Cleans, strips, refinishes, spray buffs, shampoos, and maintains all floors.
Operates automatic floor machine, buffing machine, shampooing machine and vacuums.
Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment.
Assist in training new personnel.
