With the current Brewster family leadership of Mark Brewster and his brother George Jr., the Brewster family reputation for quality customer service and excellence in clinical and emergency medical transport service continues to raise the bar for EMS delivery.
The EMT-B is responsible for the safe and efficient response, treatment, and transport of all persons requesting or requiring emergent or non-emergent medical service.
Attend to all patients with exemplary customer service
Deliver quality patient care in accordance with all clinical policies, protocols, and standards of care
Complete vehicle and equipment checklists as required while ensuring compliance with minimum stock requirement & proper function
Operate the ambulance in accordance with all safety rules and regulations.
Inspect and clean all equipment and vehicles as necessary
Complete and submit all documentation requirements at the end of each call.
Communicate effectively with other health care providers including but not limited to local, state/town agencies
Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
Perform daily housekeeping duties at all assigned bases of operation
Complete other duties as assigned
Required to have a valid driver’s license and provide an acceptable driving record
Required to retain proper State certification and National certification (If Applicable)
Required to retain CPR certification
Must be able to pass a recent background check
Must be able to provide a current Physical (within the last year) OR a doctor’s note stating you have been seen in the last year and are in good physical health, fit for duty without restrictions.
Must be able to provide TB test results or Chest X-ray (within the last 12 months)
Must be able to provide a copy of your Immunization Records (vaccines given & dates)
Must be able to lift and maneuver 125 pounds without assistance and without difficulty
Must be able to lift 250 pounds on a stretcher with assistance and without difficulty,
Must be able to carry 250 pounds on a stair chair up and down two flights of stairs with assistance and without difficulty
Must be able to transfer 250 pounds via necessary means; i.e. sheet draw, stand and pivot, extremity lift, etc. with assistance and without difficulty
Must be able to maneuver without difficulties that would affect the immediate performance of job-related duties
Must be able to work in a variety of settings.
