Position Description:

Oversee EHS compliance at assigned field locations. Ensure incidents are properly entered into the EHS management system, appropriately reviewed for causal analysis, effective corrective actions assigned, and properly closed. Complete regulatory assessments of facility compliance with company EHS programs and regulatory/permit requirements. Review permits and coordinate amendments and renewals with the EHS Permit team. Support acquisition transition. Work with EHS and other corporate teams and regulators to evaluate impact of upcoming regulatory changes. Provide support to other EHS departments, as needed, to assist in safety program implementation, claims management as requested by our Risk team, training and medical surveillance. All with an overarching goal to prevent and correct unsafe environmental work-ing conditions.Key Job Activities:Assist Operations to maintain facility compliance with all permits and environmental regulations by assessing facilities on a routine basis.QA/QC all incident entries into our EHS Management system to ensure accuracy, adequate review, follow up and closureWork with the EHS Permit team to stay abreast of amendments to permits and work with Operations staff to identify changes needed.Provide regulatory support for active acquisitions.Perform comprehensive EHS audits as part of a cross- functional team (1-2 per year)Perform other related duties as required or requested.

Position Requirements:

Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Healthcare, or Environmental Discipline, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance with experience managing customer compliance programs.Three to five years of related experience, demonstrating good knowledge of regulatory requirements as they apply to the waste industry.Demonstrates working knowledge of all federal, state, and local EHS regulations.Demonstrates proficient computer skills.Must have personal vehicle available for travel and be capable of driving to various facilities.
