Wellforce EEG Technician II in Boston, Massachusetts
Under minimal supervision and according to established policies and procedures, this position obtains standard and special procedure EEG recordings including Evoked Potential recordings. Assists in training EEG students and participates in research projects.
Requirements: Performs all or the more difficult parts of an EEG Technologist position. May perform the duties of Chief EEG Technologist during vacation. illness, etc. Records sensory evoked potentials for diagnostic purposes. Obtains EEG recordings in the Operating Room by monitoring during cerebrovascular surgery, recording from the exposed brain during neurosurgical procedures and recording sensory evoked potentials during surgery. Gives direct technical descriptions of EEG changes to surgeons as they occur during monitoring. Records EEG's at bedside including isolation, neonatal and all ICU conditions.
Responsibilities: Level of knowledge generally obtained through preparation and successful completion of the American Board of Registry in EEG Technology certification. 1-2 years of experience as an EEG technologist.
