We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Java development and experience managing CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and production support. You will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and optimizing deployment workflows while ensuring system reliability and scalability.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70 - $80 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Spinnaker.

• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications in Kubernetes clusters.

• Support production environments, participate in on-call rotations, and follow runbooks for issue resolution.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency and system reliability.

• Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring high availability and performance.

Experience Requirements:

• Java development experience (understanding of application architecture, debugging, and optimizations)

• Strong experience with REST APIs

• Hands-on expertise in Docker and Kubernetes. (deployments, scaling, monitoring).

• Experience managing infrastructure on AWS EC2 with Terraform.

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Spinnaker and Jenkins.

• Strong experience with Git, including branching strategies and version control best practices.

• Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Comfortable with production support, including on-call pager duties during regular US Business hours (preferably PST)

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
