Are you a skilled contracts professional or attorney looking for an opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced IT services environment? We are seeking a Contracts Professional to join our team within the legal department in support of commercial and state & local government transactions, working closely with internal business teams to identify agreements aligned to desired outcomes, mitigate risk, and drive business success. While the primary focus is on customer-facing contracts, this role will also involve supporting supplier and third-party agreements as needed.

This is a hybrid role that will be based at one of our key office locations:

Your future duties and responsibilities:
Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including commercial and state & local government agreements, supplier agreements, teaming agreements, subcontracts, Managed Services, SaaS, and other IT service agreements.
Provide strategic contracting advice to business development, procurement, sales, and delivery teams to identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Assist with proposal development, RFP review, and bid compliance to ensure contractual alignment with company policies.
Work cross-functionally with procurement, finance, and business unit stakeholders to optimize deal structures and ensure favorable terms.
Support contract negotiation, for vendor and third-party relationships.
Assist in developing and implementing contracting best practices, training, and process improvements to enhance efficiency in contract review and negotiations.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
4-7 years of experience in contract negotiation, contract management, or related legal experience within commercial and/or state & local government contracts in the IT services, technology, or software industry.
Strong understanding of contracting principles, third party and supplier agreements, and IT services transactions.
Knowledge of key contract terms such as intellectual property rights, licensing, indemnification, warranties, SLAs, and liability provisions.
Negotiation experience with a focus on balancing business objectives and risk mitigation.
Ability to collaborate across legal and business teams, manage shifting priorities, and provide strategic guidance in fast-paced environments.
Excellent analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with commercial, state and local government contracts and third-party contracts.
Familiarity with cloud computing, SaaS, managed services, and IT outsourcing agreements.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Legal Studies, or related field preferred).
