This Clinical Research Assistant II will be responsible for:
Assisting with maintenance of an established research participant cohort through patient contact in person, over email, and on the phone.
Handling and processing of biological specimens (blood, urine, saliva, tissue).
Contributing to study newsletters, website, and social media presence.
Data entry, cleaning, and analysis with support from biostatistician.
Communicating with IRB regarding ongoing and new research protocols.
Recruiting and consenting of new research participants.
Assisting with literature reviews and manuscript preparation.
To qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree, and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
An interest in adolescent health and gynecology/women’s health.
Exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities, with good attention to detail.
Experience working as part of a team.
The ability to take initiative and work with minimal direct supervision.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and SAS desirable.
The availability to make a 2 year commitment preferred.
The Clinical Research Assistant II will work as part of the Boston Center for Endometriosis research team. This position requires spending time in medical settings (outpatient clinic, operating room), laboratory setting, and research offices. The ideal candidate is able to navigate a fast-paced medical environment, discuss sensitive topics about women’s health, provide quality patient interactions, and multitask effectively. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work as a team are essential in this role.
