Working in a fast paced perioperative clinic under the supervision of RN/NP.
Setting up exam rooms on arrival to ensure clean and 02/suction set up intact.
Setting up of precaution rooms and PPE supplies.
Performing vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, 02 saturation, weight, height, head circumference) on patients coming through clinic on a daily basis.
Communicating any abnormal results to NP and/or charge nurse.
Informing NP, charge nurse or child life therapist if patient with behavioral needs.
Documenting information on flowsheet.
Ordering/stocking supplies in precaution cart, exam rooms and hallway closet.
Assisting charge nurse and NP’s with patient assist, transfer or other tasks.
Responsible for rotating into the phlebotomist role
Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems
Answering, screening and routine telephone calls and performing general clinic support tasks
To qualify, you must have:
High school level of education or equivalent.
Previous CA experience, CNA Certification, pediatrics preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team.
Proficient with computer skills
