Maxim Healthcare Staffing Cardiac Stress Technician in Boston, Massachusetts

Maxim Staffing Solutions is partnered with a much respected facility in Boston, MA who is currently seeking an experienced Cardiac Stress Technician to assist them on a contractual basis.

Details of the position includes:

Location: Jamaica Plain, MA

Duration: 13 weeks, likelihood of extension

Start Date: ASAP

Facility Type: Hospital


  • M-F days with possible weekend rotations


  • 2+ year experience within a hospital

  • Previous cardiac stress testing experience (MIBI, exercise stress echo, pharmacological stress echo, and exercise tolerance testing)

  • Routine EKG and Holter monitor experience

  • COVID Vaccines and booster

    Job Description:

  • A cardiac stress test technician uses specialized equipment to monitor a patient’s heart functions. In this role, you set up the machines used to measure the patient’s heart rate, such as an EKG machine, and attach wire monitors to the patient. While the patient performs activities to increase their heart rate, such as walking or running on a treadmill, you collect data on cardiac function and document it into your facility’s system. You watch the progress of your patients closely to ensure that they can safely perform the exercises necessary to get the required readings. Cardiac stress test technicians work under the supervision or with specific directions from a physician.

    Pay Rate (40 hours/week):

    • Local: $40-$45/hour dependent on experience

    • Travel: $2,070 gross pay per week
