The Radiology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School (HMS) is seeking enthusiastic applicants for a radiologist faculty position in Breast Imaging to join its dynamic team. Full time applications are preferred, but part-time candidates will be considered. The position will include dedicated, regular daytime shifts at the main campus, and, coverage at our community hospital sites.Candidates will perform a wide range of breast imaging studies and procedures including screening, diagnostic exams, ultrasound, MRI and needle localization and biopsy. Candidates should be eager to lead and develop specific clinical service lines at the main campus and the community sites.

The candidate will work exclusively in the Breast Imaging division. However, if a candidate should be interested to rotate though other divisions, there is opportunity. All faculty in our supportive team participate equally in a call pool for weekend coverage.

The well renowned Breast Imaging division has 9 highly dedicated faculty members, a Breast Imaging fellowship (2 fellows per year), and 1 advanced practitioner. The Medical Center facilities include an accredited, integrated Breast Care Center, five digital mammography units (including tomosynthesis), four ultrasound units, a stereotactic biopsy table and MRIs with biopsy capability. The diversified practice has eight community-based locations include two community hospitals and all sites are digital. The division treasures its close collaborative relationships with referring services and its contributions to several multidisciplinary conferences per week are highly valued by their clinical colleagues.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is a major Harvard Medical School-affiliated teaching hospital with 649 beds, a Level I trauma center, and well-developed multi-specialty clinical programs, including Breast Surgery and Radiation Oncology. Candidates should be excited about working in an academic environment and passionate about the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Candidates must be eligible for academic appointment at the Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level at Harvard Medical School.
