Nike Brand Creative Design Specialist, Global - Converse in Boston, Massachusetts
ABOUT OUR TEAM
Global Brand Creative is the creative center and hub for best-in-class creative expressions across the globe. This team sets the vision and creative standard for the global and geo marketing teams in 2d and 3d expressions – inclusive of photography/film, design and copy across all channels and touchpoints.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Brand Creative Design Specialist is an outstanding teammate on the Global Brand Creative team. Focused on execution, you are a skilled graphic designer who works under the direction of the creative director. You will also work alongside producers, brand managers and writers. You help the team implement creative across a few disciplines: graphic design, photo art direction, working against a narrative, visual communication, moving image and environmental design (where needed). Eager to learn and develop your skills you aid in delivering comprehensive creative solutions across all appropriate channels. You have a passion for creativity and are committed to staying up to date with current and future trends and technology. You will also collaborate with agencies and other external creatives.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Contributes to the development of brand stories
Works with CD and Global Creative Production team to research photographers, talent and collaborators for seasonal objectives. Distill and collate to create mood boards that will lead to setting the seasonal photographic and style direction
Supports team to develop new/relevant ways to do visual/digital storytelling
Responsible for the creation and update of all seasonal shot lists. Responsible for daily accuracy.
Works with digital counterparts on foundational photography (GBI) standards, evolution. When applicable, checks consistency and accuracy of product color between foundational, product superiority, and lifestyle images.
Works with our Global Brand Creative team to develop creative briefs
Assists in art directing seasonal photoshoots
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Tight-knit collaboration with the Sr. Narrative Brand Creative Manager and Creative Director; creative leadership on a Global level; working within a creative squad & partnering with brand management, creative production, and operations teams. You will also collaborate and guide external partners and agencies, including professionals in your respective field.
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum 3-5 years of sophisticated graphic design and/or art direction experience in branded content at an agency, editorial or marketing environment
Bachelor’s degree in graphic, architectural, industrial design or related field
Solid portfolio of creative work, exhibiting a highly versatile background in digital and editorial design
Proficient ability to apply and perform design skills, including drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing, and scale, visual presentation development and layout that is supported by a portfolio of non-computer based creative art and design. Strong familiarity with current trends, color, and design
Effective oral and written communications skills, including presenting
Ability to deliver on individual responsibilities while still contributing to the brand creative team
Ability to distill briefs down in a way that allows you to showcase your thinking in creative ways
Ability to work cooperatively with staff, share ideas and develop effective responses. Proven ability to work in a rapidly changing, high-growth environment. Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes
