The Bostonian, a non-profit organization servicing patients in Dorchester and metro-Boston, is a spacious, recently renovated 121-bed skilled nursing facility with a unique neighborhood setting. Conveniently located in Dorchester, MA and accessible by public transportation (and 5 minutes off Route 93!), The Bostonian is a preferred post-acute provider for major acute care hospitals. We provide a robust short term rehabilitation program including specialized cardiac care, and individualized, comfortable long term and respite care. Come join our team! ** Call our Recruiter today at (781) 817-3748 to learn more about this opportunity! ** Requirements for RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON): * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing * Associates in Nursing required, at minimum. BSN or similar degree, preferred. * Active, unencumbered state licensure as an Registered Nurse (RN) * Current CPR/BLS certifications * Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting. Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care. * Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and infection control/prevention * Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred Job Duties of RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON): * Assure appropriate utilization of resources necessary for the delivery of quality patient care * Communicate with other departments, patients, and families to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach * Oversee staff and assist when needed * Assists with the orientation and education of other nursing personnel * In conjunction with and as directed by the RN Director of Nursing Services, manages the overall clinical care processes and patient outcomes within the facility including patient incident management (falls, unexpected events, etc.), skin integrity program, etc. The Bostonian truly appreciates our employees and welcomes you to be a part of our extended family as our new Assistant Director of Nursing!
