Job Description Summary
The Application Specialist works both independently as well as part of the Medical Affairs field team, while successfully managing multi-state territory of hospital and private-physician office base. This position in entirely field-based with minimal supervision required, following initial training.

The fundamental responsibility of this position is to provide diagnostic ultrasound clinicalapplic ations support to the field GE Healthcare Cardiology medical team and ultrasound contrast users. The major responsibilities include the following:
Develop and deliver product training to customers on software application and/or equipment use, monitor customer installations, and maintain customer relationships to optimize equipment and contrast media utilization
Operation and demonstration in the use of ultrasound contrast media (CM) in the clinical cardiology setting using available ultrasound system(s)
Answer wide range of questions concerning CM, software and clinical application
Develop, recommend and implement product demonstration strategies, within framework approved by GE Healthcare's governance committee.
Professionally represent the GE Healthcare Medical Affairs department at trade shows, in compliance with industry regulations.
Collect clinical images appropriate for use in training materials, with appropriate consent from the relevant center.
Troubleshooting in situations where product and clinical expertise is required to determine whether a customer problem is in the operation of the local system (operator error) or by being the authority to judge if a system is up to a reasonable expectation for the clinical use of ultrasound contrast media.
Provide support in the clinical evaluations of new products or new product technologies.
Learn and maintain expert level knowledge of ultrasound systems and ultrasound contrast media.
Facilitate team communication and the sharing of best practices
Assist with the training and assimilation of new hires into the organization
Act as a mentor to provide clinical, technical, and professional guidance to the field team
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality
Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Full understanding of pharmacovigilance SOP with timely processing of all reported adverse events
Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives
Location: Field based role. Can be located anywhere in CON US.
Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 7 years of experience as a clinical cardiac sonographer with 5 years of specific modality experience (cardiac ultrasound); or a formal (accredited) training in the clinical utilization of diagnostic ultrasound plus a minimum of 7 years of experience as a clinical cardiac with 5 years of specific modality experience.
RDMS certification is required.
Extensive travel is required
Superb communication skills, verbally and in writing
Demonstrated familiarity with multiple manufacturers' systems and software.
Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based team)
Good negotiating and influencing skills
Good track record of how to utilize an informal and personal approach to accomplish objective and invests in building long lasting relationships
Is credible and effective in collaborating with academic centers and sonographers, lab managers, nurses and HCPs.
