This Managed Care Analyst I will responsible for :
Performing detailed analyses of various managed care and governmental contract analyses for both hospital and physician organizations as assigned and performing patient detail account transaction activity review for payment collection accuracy, completeness, reasonableness, interpreting trends or deviations and making recommendations for corrective action.
Reviewing Hospital/physician managed contracts and fee schedules including governmental payers, as assigned and preparing appropriate analyses for review by committee and leadership in order to make recommendations regarding contract terms and fees.
Maintaining and updating Managed Contract System based on various managed care contracts and performs system set up and testing as necessary to ensure contract is accurately configured and modeled.
Designing and building contract models to support various reporting and contracting needs.
Contacting other departments within the hospital to analyze and improve the quality and integrity of the payer contract payment collection efforts.
Developing methodologies and internal reporting systems to gather and compile the required data.
Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly payer contract performance reports and presents performance trends at the department all staff meeting.
To qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance or a closely related field and two years of previous related experience.
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
