Job Description:
The Non Invasive Cardiology Department at Northeast Hospital Corporation spans over three sites: Beverly Hospital, Addison Gilbert Hospital, and the Care Center of Danvers.
Job Description:
Under the general direction of the department Manager and/or Clinical Cardiologists, the Non Invasive Cardiology RN is responsible for EKG’s, Monitor placement and all methods of Stress Testing on inpatient and outpatients at all three sites.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Performs all Stress Testing Procedures including routine treadmill, nuclear medicine, pharmacological, and echo.
Responsible for administering medication and monitoring vitals during the Dobutamine Stress Test procedure
Assists the Cardiologist during Cardioversions
Performs EKG’s and places mobile monitors
Ensures all testing data transfers into third party software for MD review
Assures that there is adequate equipment and supplies for testing
Documents all tests and procedures in the patients EMR
Assists with general office duties, including answering the phone, faxing, scanning, greeting patients, and ordering supplies as needed.
Participates in Performance Improvement initiatives
Participates in all other departmental operational activities as needed.
Education/ Skills Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing BN preferred
Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Current Advanced Life Support Certification Required
Experience with Exercise Stress Testing preferred but not required
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills required
Able to work at multiple sites, weekends and holidays
