Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical - rotating shifts

Job Description:

Johnson 3 is a respiratory, geriatric and medical telemetry unit. Services provided by the staff of Johnson 3 include, patient education (including, diabetic teaching, respiratory care, discharge planning instructions), care of the patient with self-limiting and chronic conditions. Johnson 3 generally accepts patients 18 years of age or older with stable cardiac and medical conditions.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Inpatient Team, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Complete assessments, administer medications/treatments, observes patient’s progress and evaluates therapies for clinical outcomes and effectiveness

  • Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop an optimal health care strategy plan for each patient

  • Support and educate patients and their loves ones to achieve maximum outcomes

32 hours a week, rotating shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required

  • Basic telemetry experience or successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Care of the telemetry patient required within 6 months of hire
