Genomic Expression Inc Lab Director for RNA Diagnostics Company - COVID19 and Cancer in Beverly, Massachusetts
Job Summary
We are looking for a part time Lab Director for an established CLIA lab in Boston. License and experience with Next Generation sequencing and Virology.
The ideal candidate will be effective and detail oriented, with solid understanding of CLIA, molecular biology, and genomics. He/she will be working alongside some amazing pioneers in oncology, bench scientists, engineers and software developers, contributing to the cutting edge of cancer research and personalized medicine.
Location: Genomic Expression's laboratory is in the North Shore InnoVentures Center in Beverly, MA.
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee all CLIA requirements are meet during monthly meetings with team
Review and sign any updates to existing SOPs
Assist in development of validation plans for new LDT assays
Sign off on NGS test e.g. BRCA
Help write new SOP’s
Qualifications and Skills
MD, DO, or PhD with American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM), American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG), American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) or equivalent Board-certification approved by HHS.
Licensed in the state of Massachusetts, and willing to get licensed or already licensed in NY and CA
Must have several years of experience directing a clinical laboratory, preferably with experience in High-complexity Laboratory Testing.
Experience in complex molecular diagnostic techniques, including hands-on experience with Next-Generation Sequencing assays and review of metagenomic data analysis.
Experience with developing a Quality Management Program for Clinical NGS testing is preferred.
Must work effectively with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, physicians, lab technologists.
