About the Job

Position Summary:

The Endoscopy Technician assists with the delivery of patient care

under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Endoscopy Technician assists the physician

with endoscopic procedures, including positioning, biopsy retrieval, polypectomy and

sigmoidoscopy. The primary responsibility will be focused on performing technical, therapeutic,

administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been trained, including scope reprocessing and maintenance. In addition, the Endoscopy Technician maintains departmental on-call responsibilities during off-shifts, weekends and holidays, on a rotating basis. The Endoscopy Technician must demonstrate the ability to participate in a Patient Care Team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for the quality of own work and remain flexible in response to change.

Scheduled Hours

40 hours per week, day shift.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: 1. High School Equivalent

  1. Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience.

    1. Multi-skilled Associate Training: EKG, Phlebotomy

    Certification/License: BLS
