MKS Instruments Inc Principal Financial Analyst in Andover, Massachusetts

A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Principal Financial Analyst at MKS Instruments, you will partner with Global Service’s Product Marketing, Field Service, Operations and Finance teams to drive financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in managing forecasting revenue, cost analysis, and KPI reporting, ensuring data-driven insights that enhance financial performance. In this role, you will report to the Global Service Controller and support financial planning, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives across the organization.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Leading month-end close activities, including forecasting revenue, cost analysis, MBR/QBR preparation and KPI reporting

  • Supporting Global Operations Finance, collaborating with other Operations Finance Controllers to align inventory and cost accounting procedures

  • Preparing and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency within Global Field Service & Service Operations, supporting strategic decision-making

  • Partnering with Service Product Marketing to provide financial insights that enhance revenue execution, cost management and customer performance

  • Supporting global financial reporting, forecasting, and executive presentations to drive business insights

Skills that You Bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related discipline

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience in financial systems such as Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Power BI and SAP is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:.

  • Background in Financial Planning and Analysis within a global field service environment.

  • Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting processes across multiple countries and business units

  • Advanced data modeling skills with Power BI, SQL, and DAX, with experience developing executive-level dashboards and performing complex data analysis to support strategic decision-making
