We've acquired and maintained a necessary supply of PPE, including N95 respirators and have multiple testing capabilities including Point-of-Care (POC) testing in every location according to CMS and local guidance.
Join the Genesis clinical team as a POC Testing Laboratory Assistant where you will manage processes and procedures related to POC testing, maintain the laboratory and testing equipment/supplies to ensure a safe laboratory environment, collect specimens for POC testing (where scope of practice, as well as state and federal regulations permit).
*Work under the direction of the Medical Director and/or delegated licensed clinical nursing staff
*Manage laboratory inventory, including POC testing supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
*Maintain a log of tests performed at specific intervals for each patient/resident/staff and document POC testing results per Genesis process.
*Record laboratory room temperature, reporting room temperatures above or below identified parameters
*Ensure appropriate labeling, transportation and processing of laboratory specimens per Genesis process and manufacturer's instructions.

*High school diploma or equivalent is required. *Medical Assisting Certification and/or Lab Assistant Certification is strongly preferred. *Competency in basic lab skills and handling of lab specimens is required. *Basic computer skills and sufficient aptitude to comprehend software driven instrument testing and reporting is required. *Must successfully fit test and be able to wear a respirator (e.g. N95/KN95) *Travel may be required to assist additional nursing centers.
