The Blaire House of Tewksbury is a reputable 131-bed skilled nursing center. We are family owned and operated by the Essex Group Management Corp, servicing the health care needs of seniors for over 50 years. We specialize in Short and Long Term care, Rehab, Sub-acute care, and Alzheimer's Specialty care. Our facility also hosts an Assisted Living Facility, Adult Day Health Center, Senior Transportation and Home Care Services. Our Nursing team utilizes Electronic Medical Records and are trained on state-of-the-art medical equipment.

Job Summary:

  • Assures computerized ID sheets are in place.

  • Prepares admissions packets for residents, including Social Service intake folder, medical records and resident business folders.

  • Copies and organizes records as necessary for billing purposes. Sends letters regarding visits and telephone order slips to physicians.

  • Maintains ICD-9-CM Diagnosis List.

  • Maintains accident/incident data and files.

  • Inputs MDS, MMQ and care plan data into computerized patient care system.

  • Electronically submits MDS and MMQ data as required by regulation.

  • Produces and distributes facility Quality Indicator reports weekly; updates Quality Indicator Worksheets weekly.

  • Updates resident condition and roster report information in computerized patient care system weekly as directed by Director of Nursing.

  • Assumes responsibility for other tasks as may be deemed necessary by the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications:

  1. EDUCATION: High school graduate. Should have formal training in the medical records or secretarial field. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to follow written and oral directions. 2. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Related job training or experience in the medical or secretarial field is helpful. Knowledge of medical records organization preferred. Active driver's license. Computer literacy. 3. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Turns, crouches, kneels, stoops, bends below waist and reaches above shoulder height, frequently. Climbs stairs frequently. Walks, sits and stands frequently. Lifts and/or carries objects at a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, occasionally. Pushes and/or pulls equipment at a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, occasionally. Uses sight and auditory senses. Possesses good finger and hand dexterity
