The Blaire House of Tewksbury is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse with long term care experience leading a nursing department. The successful candidate will be experienced, knowledgeable and motivated to ensure that our residents receive top quality care.
The Blaire House of Tewksbury is a reputable 131-bed skilled nursing center. We are family owned and operated by the Essex Group Management Corp, servicing the health care needs of seniors for over 50 years. We specialize in Short and Long Term care, Rehab, Sub-acute care, and Alzheimer's Specialty care. Our facility also hosts an Assisted Living Facility, Adult Day Health Center, Senior Transportation and Home Care Services. Our Nursing team utilizes Electronic Medical Records and are trained on state-of-the-art medical equipment.Our passion for ensuring that our seniors retain a fulfilling quality of life while we provide optimal care is second to none. The Director of Nursing is responsible directly to the Executive Director for all functions of the Nursing Department.
Assumes responsibility for direct technical supervision of the Nursing Department.
Implements operational procedures and policies and reviews work performance to determine conformance to recognized standards.
Participates in nursing care as needed to meet emergency situations. Carries a Company cell phone.
Provides direct supervision and orientation of all nursing personnel or delegates and supervses these duties.
- EDUCATION: RN graduation from an accredited, approved school of nursing. Current registration with State Board of Nurse Examiners. Advanced preparation in administrative nursing techniques, including ward management and principles of supervision. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to follow written and oral direction. Interest in serving the elderly population.
