Title: Part Time or Per Diem Adult Day Health Nurse (RN only)
The Blaire House of Tewksbury is a 131-bed skilled nursing center. We are family owned and operated by the Essex Group Management Corp, servicing the health care needs of seniors for over 50 years. We specialize in Short and Long Term care, Rehab, Sub-acute care, and Alzheimer's Specialty care. Our facility also hosts an Assisted Living Facility, Adult Day Health Center, Senior Transportation and Home Care Services. Participation in the nursing process by sharing in assessment of patients, planning of patient care, implementing the patient care plan, and evaluating patient care.
Providing for needs and for safety of patients.
Notifying appropriate person about unusual symptoms and/or changes in condition of patient.
Giving and receiving report.
Supervise the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by the participants’ physicians.
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited, approved school of nursing. Current registration with State Board of Nurse Examiners.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Will receive in-service training in special areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Good physical and mental health. Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment. Visual and auditory acuity to detect changes in patients' conditions. Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of fifty (50) lbs. Must be able to push and pull carts at a minimum of one hundred (100) lbs., and continuously walk, sit and stand. Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate. Must use good body mechanics.
