You will be responsible for:
The provision of nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with current BH Standards of Care.
Administering and monitoring patient response to therapeutic interventions.
Demonstrating knowledge and application of the nursing process as it relates to patients and families.
Collaborating with health team members, patients/families in the provision of care.
Delegating and providing direct supervision to other health team members as appropriate in the implementation of the patient care plan.
Acting as an advocate for patients/families/significant others.
Practicing within accepted ethical and legal parameters of nursing.
Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Current Health Care Provider CPR certification required. ACLS and PALS required within six months.
Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years critical care RN experience required, 3-5 years intercare or adult ED (trauma) experience may be considered. Some pediatric experience a plus.
Strong organizational and customer service skills required.
Proven ability to work in high acuity, fast paced setting required.
Education: ADN required, BSN preferred
This part time Weekend Only RN position provides the opportunity to work two twelve hour shifts each week - every Saturday and Sunday, 6 or 7A-6 or 730P. When you combine our generous weekend and weekend only differential - you can actually work part time and earn close to full time pay! The Perianesthesia Unit provides preoperative care and postoperative recovery care, supporting the Daly Operating Rooms which are open and staffed 24/7. There are 18 ORs that support multiple specialty service lines; Level 1 Trauma service, Pediatrics, Neurosurgery, Bariatric Surgery, General/Gyn Surgery, Total Joint, Orthopedic Trauma, Transplant, Thoracic, Plastic, Robotics and Urology. We serve both Adult and Pediatric patients.
