What you will do
Perform radiologic X-Ray procedures to obtain images used in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. May specialize in one or more of the following modalities: mammography, bone density, or CT scan technology.
What you will need
Associates degree or equivalent from accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Must specialize in more than one of the following modalities: Mammography, bone density or CT scan technology with certifications from the ARRT. Willing to train
State license in mammography, if applicable.
Knowledge of radiation biology, anatomy, breast physiology and abnormalities
Knowledge of safety hazards and deploys defined safety procedures
Ability to apply correct body mechanics to assist patient
Ability to manipulate heavy equipment and maneuver patients who may be disabled
What you need to know
- Willingness to travel to the different sites (Springfield, East Longmeadow, Enfield and Northampton)
