We are currently seeking a dedicated Supervisor Patient Access to join our team at Cape Cod Hospital. PURPOSE OF POSITION: To Supervise all activities associated with Patient Access activities that take place at Cape Cod Hospital. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide expert leadership to all reporting personnel through effective written and verbal communication, problem solving support and maintenance of a high level of job knowledge. Provide support related to Press Ganey reporting. Monitor and provide ongoing education regarding Patient Satisfaction measures and tools. Routinely runs QC reports, edits accounts, develops training materials, and serves as a support to the entire department. Provides staff and department supervision with QA feedback to assist in staff development. Responsible for training all new permanent and temporary Registration staff on all computer programs used in Registration (Soarian, Valco, HDX, NEHEN, WEB MD, Internet, e-mail and others as adopted for use). Promote a culture which is focused on the continuous improvement of services and education to meet the needs of all of patient access customers. Support all aspects related to employee time records. Assist in coordination of department staffing and scheduling in line with budget and patient needs. Prepare and provide required reports to management that document the productivity and quality results of the department. Works collaboratively to promote harmonious, cooperative relations with all departments for quality patient care. Provides support to Revenue Cycle personnel on Access related issues. Daily monitoring and follow up on Access related work lists. Coaches and mentors staff regarding Patient Access processes and provides ongoing training. Assist in monthly staff meeting and participate in hospital committees as required. Support management functions including hiring, training, disciplining, performance appraisals, and competency performance standard development. Responsible for being on-call as scheduled on evenings, weekends and holidays. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in education programs, in services and seminars. Successfully manages multiple projects and responsibilities. Provide and maintain a safe working environment for staff persons, patients and visitors. Perform other work related duties and activities as assigned or requested. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects Cape Cod Healthcare's commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: · BA/BS related to Business Administration or Healthcare preferred. · Supervisory experience in Healthcare Environment preferred. · Ability to work well with all departments, coworkers, clients and patients. · Must be proficient in Scheduling, Microsoft Word, and Excel. · Knowledge of Siemens information systems preferred. · Capable of learning reporting systems and other new tools. · Team oriented with good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. · Assists in the development of department budgets and in monitoring and controlling expenses. · Exceptional time management skills.
