Massachusetts Employer Recovery Specialist III in Greenfield, Massachusetts

GREENFIELD Behavioral Health Network is currently seeking a Recovery Specialist III for a new start-up program for inpatient level of care for Detoxification Services in Greenfield, MA. It is a 24 hr/7 day a week program including a 24 hr/7 day inpatient clinical stabilization step down unit and is hiring for multiple positions to staff these new programs. Job Requirements: " Independently communicates individual served information and observations promptly to the RN or LPN regarding individual's progress and/or the identification and resolution of problems. " Organizes care activities as required by individual served or unit activity and assists nurses and counselors in the management of individuals served, facilitating their participation in unit programs and activities. " Under the direction and supervision of an RN, provides direct individual care and performs basic individual care procedures. " Provides individual support on unit as needed. " Accepts support and direction from team members as needed regarding appropriate care. " Assists doctors and nurses with exams and simple procedures. " Demonstrates knowledge of development stages for adult population and applies developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing care for individuals served. " Demonstrates knowledge and skill in assisting individuals served with Activities of Daily Living (ADL). " Maintains and collaborates with coworkers to ensure a safe and clean environment including searching individuals' belongings and additional items which are dropped off to individuals in order to maintain a contraband free environment. " Measures and records vital signs accurately. " Drives/transports individuals served to appointments, aftercare, etc. " Appropriately responds to clinical emergencies. " Perform intakes, admissions and discharges as directed by the nurse. " Facilitates admissions and documents all information accurately and clearly. " Obtains and processes insurance information. " Orders and distributes supplies (linen, food and medical supplies.) Job Knowledge: o Demonstrates competency in simple mathematics, reading comprehension, written and oral communications, following instructions, simple use of charts, reports and records. o Ability to understand, empathize and work with an addicted population and mentally ill population. Schooling or Equivalent: o High School Diploma or equivalent. o Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) credentials preferred.
