Gosnold on Cape Cod Recovery Aide in Falmouth, Massachusetts

The Recovery Aide acts as the lead liaison between staff; communicates directly with nurses, counselors, and medication specialists on duty; contacts Program Director and Director of Nursing when issues arise. This role is responsible for assisting patients and families in the behavioral health system to enhance their recovery and promote wellness. The Recovery Aide must have experience, training, and/or education in the field of addiction. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor high-risk patients by assisting with group participation, providing support and redirection to reduce recovery-interfering behaviors, and enhancing engagement to reduce AMA/ACAs. Report outcomes to Program Director, Director of Nursing, and RA Supervisor via daily emails. Conduct specialty groups such as - Under 30\", Relapse Prevention (WRAP) and Young Adult Opioid Population (YAOPs); document attendance in electronic medical record. Track and complete program evaluations; report data to Program Director and Clinical Manager. Relate and communicate effectively with patients in a treatment setting. Participate in recovery-oriented socialization via informal interactions with patients, circulating in the program to monitor patient activity and ensuring maintenance of program guidelines. Document observations, activities, and participation in appropriate records including the patient record, shift logs, and in the preparation of incident reports. Work closely with and provide support to the counseling team. Meet with patients individually when appropriate. Uphold Gosnold?s organizational values and policies and procedures, especially related to appropriate boundaries. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: Trained in SMART recovery preferred; able to conduct groups as needed. Knowledge of basic treatment concepts and 12-Step recovery groups. Skills: Proficient in data entry into electronic medical record. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid Massachusetts driver?s license, current CPR certification or be CPR certifiable.
