Job Summary:

We are currently seeking Regional Dietitian ideally located in Southern MA or the Rhode Island market.

The Regional Dietititan is responsible for all nutrition and wellness information and activity in the assigned region. He/ she develops, supports, coordinates, measures and analyzes nutrition and wellness initiatives and manages and evaluates the provision of nutrition education, training and guidance for various accounts and Eurest associates. The Regional Dietitian works collaboratively with clients, regional vice president, district managers, dining services directors, chefs and marketing managers to promote and support corporate nutrition goals, objectives, strategies and policies, to develop and provide nutrition resources and to insure compliance with FDA nutrition labeling laws across a portfolio of accounts.


  • Assesses client, customer and operator needs; Customizes and coordinates Compass Group nutrition and wellness programs and initiatives to meet specific needs in assigned B&I dining locations

  • Establishes relationship and maintain partnership with client health and wellness program/initiative designees; facilitates joint wellness initiatives and calendars

  • Collaborates with regional chef and regional marketing managers on menu and recipe development to meet region wellness needs

  • Participates in strategic account retention and sales efforts

  • Contributes to quarterly business reviews as needed

  • Develops mastery of Compass and sector specific wellness and sustainability goals, standards, initiatives, programs and resource materials

  • Uses Business Excellence resources to customize nutrition education, wellness initiatives & sustainability promotional programs for assigned operations, Compass B&I associates, clients and customers

  • Assesses regional needs and develops/ provides regional best practice materials for health fairs, lunch and learns, program launches, client meetings, café wellness events, tastings, etc. Monitors and benchmarks best practices across region

  • Assess regional opportunities to use technology and marketing innovations to help drive wellness including Webtrition, loyalty programs, dining websites, limited time offers and rewards initiatives. Creates regional action plans for implementation

  • Directs regional approach to promoting wellness via social media

  • Assists Regional Vice President and local District Managers in the following:

  • Overall planning and direction to achieve operations and financial goals

  • Maintaining effective customer and client rapport

  • Overseeing all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the accounts and the region

  • Participates in monthly B&I RD calls and submits topics for consideration

  • Leads in-field implementation and on-going wellness training for assigned B&I dining locations

  • Assists division wellness directors with division and sector wide meeting materials and presentations

  • Acts as a nutrition education resource, excluding medical nutrition therapy, for client, customer and Compass associate nutrition & sustainability questions and concerns

  • Supports regional CFE (Center for Excellence) efforts; analyzes Onsite Insights data to identify wellness opportunities

  • Facilitates dietetic intern rotations in Compass B&I locations, if applicable

  • Monitors, assesses and increases Webtrition usage and compliance within assigned B&I accounts; holds units in region accountable for using Webtrition recipes in daily food production, accuracy of posted nutrition information and nutrition information provided on dining websites and kiosks

  • Monitors, tracks and interprets promotion results, customer purchasing behavior and sales data so program decisions are informed and qualified.

  • Conducts, monitors and analyzes audit data and site visit reports to ensure region and account performance against wellness standards. Develops corrective action plans with wellness coordinators, wellness managers and dining directors; monitors and enforces corrective action on wellness and sustainability standards, nutrition policies, labeling laws and food allergy management


  • Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition or related science field required. Master’s level preferred.

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and State Licensure, where applicable, required.

  • Five (5) years of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian required.

  • One (1) of Wellness experience preferred.

  • Serve-Safe certification preferred. If not certified, must obtain certification within twelve (12) weeks from date of hire.

  • Culinary and/or Food Service experience preferred.

  • Requires strong presentation and public speaking skills. Ability to plan and deliver audience-appropriate presentations for guests, clients, internal teams and/or potential clients is a must.

  • Ability to write professional and efficient emails to clients and customers required.

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills; ability to apply complex mathematical concepts.

  • Requires strong time management skills; advanced computer skills, advanced management and leadership skills, advanced problem solving skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to travel up to 50%., locally as well as nationally as needed
