This position will be responsible for:

  • Managing daily operations of a research laboratory and technical staff.

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the lab's standard operating procedures. Overseeing purchase of supplies and maintenance of equipment and ensuring laboratory's compliance with hospital and governmental regulations.

  • Performing highly specialized laboratory experiments and specimens preparation.

  • Assisting lab personnel in the use of specialized laboratory equipment and analysis of the data generated.

  • Preparing and monitoring laboratory and grant budgets, maintenance of equipment and ensuring laboratory's compliance with hospital and governmental regulations.

To qualify, you must have:

  • The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree AND a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience OR Master of Science AND 6 yrs of relevant experience.

  • Extensive experience in cell culture, laboratory management and working with post-doctoral trainees.

  • The analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in‑depth, experience‑based knowledge.

  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing including assigning and distributing work, enforcing policies, conduct performance reviews, and counsel employees with performance and/or disciplinary issues. Work requires ability to write detailed reports and proposals.
