The Patient Experience Representative will be responsible for:
Supporting a group of GI/Nutrition Physicians' Administrative Assistants.
Answering busy phone lines, scheduling and assisting families with Administrative Issues.
Updating demographic and fiscal information.
Rescheduling and canceling patient appointments.
Scheduling studies and lab tests.
Preparing new patient information for scheduled appointment by calling outside providers for information and scanning into systems.
Obtaining prior authorizations and insurance verification.
Performing routine clerical duties, such as faxes, photocopying materials and distributing documents.
To qualify, you must have:
A high school level of educational development and one to two years of previous experience in a customer service setting or experience in a health care setting.
One year of proven customer service skills and a Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
The analytical skills and judgment to interpret data and take the appropriate action in circumstances.
The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
