Bay Cove Human Services Nurse Practitioner in Boston, Massachusetts
Provide psychiatric evaluation and psycho-pharmacological treatment. Perform recommended ADA/APA antipsychotic health monitoring and routine blood levels for evaluation medication levels. Communicate with primary and specialty medical care providers. Coordinates treatment with other involved parties as appropriate Maintain updated clinical records of services and contacts with clients as specified by the policies and procedures of the clinic and by standards of regulatory and funding agencies. Completes or assists in the completion of relevant client-related documentations like disability determination applications, guardianship affidavits, etc. Participate in the clinic's effort to meet Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) goals and other treatment initiatives. Provides some outreach psychopharm services in Bay Cove's programs and residences. Administer Injectable Psychiatric Medications if needed. Licensed in the State of Massachusetts as a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (License Type: RN/PC). Have valid DEA Certification and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration. Excellent writing and oral communication skills. High degree of personal organization, attention to detail and time management skills. Preferred experience in working with the severely and persistently mentally ill, substance abusing clients, the elderly, and/or the culturally diverse populations.
