This Clinical Nurse Educator/Resource Nurse will be responsible for:
Working for Primary Care at both the Boston Children’s Longwood Primary Care and Martha Eliot Health Center; which are busy pediatric practices with a wide variety of pediatric/adolescent primary and urgent health care needs including immunizations, well child-care, growth and development issues, and asthma.
Providing nursing professional development expertise as an educator, facilitator, change agent, leaders and researcher.
Supporting the development of the primary care nurse through knowledge to achieve excellence in the delivery of evidenced based nursing practice.
Assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating competency, continuing education and leadership development at the program level.
Participating, planning and evaluating orientation for staff.
Creating a professional nursing climate to meet the needs of the diverse unit and global needs of the Boston Children’s Hospital system.
Developing, managing, and implementing programs for a wide variety of educational initiatives including program development, instruction and evaluation with emphasis on nursing orientation and professional development for all levels of nursing staff.
Providing leadership and expertise through the processes of collaboration, consultation, facilitation and education.
Demonstrating well developed communication skills, both written and oral, comfort with technologies and advanced skills in clinical pediatric care, education, and evidence based practice tools and techniques.
Traveling for this position as needed.
To qualify, you must have:
3-5 years pediatric experience mandatory. Primary Care experience mandatory.
Inpatient experience preferred.
Spanish speaking preferred.
