This is a key position within the Boston Emergency Services Team (BEST) Program, responsible for providing telephone screening and intake functions. Provides resource information, receives and triages calls from patients and provides referral sources on behalf of individuals experiencing psychiatric crisis.
Masters degree in Nursing, Psychology or Social Work with appropriate state certification or license eligible
Six to twelve months’ experience in emergency psychiatry related clinical activities are required
Excellent interpersonal skills needed for interacting effectively with patients, professionals, etc.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team structure.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Multilingual skills desired
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess the needs of patients of all different age populations in order to provide care appropriately.
